Yard Technician Job Summary
*Must be willing to work any Monday through Friday 8 hour fixed shift*
The Yard Technician plays an instrumental role in our production process – getting it started! When raw materials arrive at the site, they’re stored under roof and it’s the job of the Yard Technician to not only fill the raw material silos, but also to run the front-end loader and fill the conveyors that bring the charge into the furnace to begin melting the wool. In a fast-paced working environment you will be responsible for ensuring raw and recycled materials are handled properly in accordance to the demand by the production line. This includes but is not limited to using powered industrial vehicles, hand trucks, lifts and other machinery as assigned. The Yard Technician reports to the Team Leader for the area; this role has no direct reports.

The employee is occasionally required to hear, walk, climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, and smell.
The employee must frequently lift, carry, push or pull up to 60 pounds and/or occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 120 pounds with another person, shovel heavy waste to shoulder height, operate a powered industrial vehicle and use sharp instruments safely and effectively.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
